From Kechrokampos you may visit the Forest of Oxia in Lekani (8 km), as well as the valley of Nestos (3 km).

Make a stop off at Nestos (bridge) at a distance of 8 km, on the boundaries between Kavala and Xanthi, and take the chance to go horseback-riding or ride a mountain-bike along the riverbanks, or even to navigate the river on kanoe-kayak, enjoying the fantastic scenery all the way through to Galani.

You may also wish to see the waterfalls of Livaditis river or take a day trip to the dam of Thisavros.

You can also visit the  "Metamorfosh toy Sothros" monastery also called "Monh Nikhton" at the village of Nikiton.

The area offers great opportunities for four-wheel drives and moto-cross, as well as for trekking amid lush vegetation in Kainaki and Analipsi.
